Utah SCAN

Network Overview

The Utah Climate Center is repurposing data from 16 NRCS SCAN1 weather stations to provide reference evapotranspiration (ET) for Utah farmers and ranchers. Hourly and daily data are retrieved whereupon ASCE PenmanMonteith short reference evapotranspiration (ETo) and tall reference evapotranspiration (ETr) are calculated using University of Idaho’s Ref-ET software2. Daily ET values are summed from positive hourly values. The Climate Center does not maintain these stations nor quality control these data
